Share of Daily Smokers Among 15+

 

Who still remembers the relentless hype and panic around Covid-19? Clearly, this is probably something of the past, which we tend to forget or even deny after all.. However, back in that era, smoking was arguably one of the most feared, regretted factors, and it continues to prevail as a vicious pandemic perpetuated by our societies.

We have taken a glimpse into some insights jointly collected by Vital Strategies and Tobacconomics project powered by Chicago’s University of Illinois.

Up to 3 out of 10 people consistently consume cigarettes in the countries above. Interestingly, some of them in addition to Greece (27% in terms of prevalence) and Türkiye (26%) belong to the same corner of our world. What are your thoughts on this?
